Why Atproto

Sep 17, 2025

ATTPS Labs agrees with Jack Dorsey and Mike Masnick that we need a technological approach to free speech.

We need the internet to be dominated by protocols, not platforms.

We need a free and open internet accessible to all, yet, moderated to an extend to create a safe space free of disinformation, propaganda and harmful content.

We believe that the AT Protocol is positioned to bring us back to the open-source web that we deserved from the start.

We chose to build on Atproto for their ethos, integrity, independent developer community, and their aim to turn Bluesky and the underlying AT Protocol into a decentralised piece of the open social internet.

An open social internet free of meta data harvesting, ad-slavery and facist censorship.
